I will be sure to pass your contact information on to my friend. I don't know if he knows anything about the area on the Shenango you are looking at or not, he didn't hint to me he knew anything other than that the Kuskuskies Town(s) were somewhere near New Castle. I am sure he will be very pleased that the state of Pa is taking the time to do an archaeological survey before construction is commenced. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't contact you even if he has no information about that area.
I'm curious. Is one bridge going to span the Shenango and the other across the Mahoning? That is quite a way from the area along the Beaver River that we visited. Blessings

Sorry,...I forgot about answering your question about the bridge locations. Yes, the one crosses the Shenango, but the other one is just half a mile south and it actually doesn't cross a river, but rather a railroad line.

jverbka,
I have spoken to my friend about your inquiry and he told me he does not know enough about the area you are looking at to be of much help to you. He said that he knows of the marker along Pa state route 551, but other than that and some tales about the town that are generally common knowledge, he has no information about the physical location of it. Sorry this has proved to be a dead end for you, but I'm hopeful you will find the information you are looking for. Blessings
