Police work is a great occupation. I personally do not have what it takes to do that kind of work. In the US, especially in the cities, police are greatly under appreciated. No one wants to see a cop unless they need a cop. And in the neighborhood where I grew up, sad to say, they are seen as the enemy. Don't be afraid to keep going to school and take a class here and there. You may still become a teacher that way, if that is the way you prefer.
Who is Someday?
Just a person. For reasons of my own, I prefer to remain as anonymous as possible on these forums.
Without going into detail, I will say that I am educated, never really stopped going to school, am in my 40's and constantly running up my student **** bill. I work in the IT field, but again, I don't want to go into the details of my work.
I follow politics closely, but I no longer vote. I can relate to a man like Obama sitting in a Church for a long time without being convinced in their theology. I personally have been a longstanding member of an evangelical, fundamentalist leaning church here in Ohio. I do not go there due to any theological agreement with them at all, but mainly because they are good people who do great work with the poor and the downtrodden.
I used to travel frequently, usually work related, and have been all over the world and encountered many different people and many different cultures. That began when I was in the US Navy and continued in later work. I travel far less now, and I prefer it that way for the time being, as I have stuck roots in the ground and wish to be around to nourish them.
I am a firm believer in the quote I have as my signature, and that when all is said and done, even Stalin and Hitler will be/have been forgiven and will be reconciled to God.
I know, a lot of typing to say very little specific, but I must remain anonymous.
Blessings
