Aye, I'll maybe stay a while longer......however I suppose that the "debating" bit is out the window now-as anything goes!
Seemingly for e.g. I could ask "What does the transfiguration actually mean?"
and the answer could be "Well it may not have happened atall anyway". Is that constructive debate? .........er.........NOPE, not really
Is it a debate though you want, or are you looking to state what you think is truth for all.
There is one thing stating what is truth for you and another of what is truth for all.. when its all you had better be ready to substantiate it
Remember aswell not everyone is going to answer you on your terms, the world is full of different people with different questions.. if you dont like the question " Well it may not have happened at all " maybe you should ask why as if its not me, any of the atheists here might ask you a similar question.. what will you do then.. throw a tiff because you was hoping to get someone give you a Biblical answer, that is inline with what you are willing to accept?
ANYWAY,I take note of what you say though, JM and I'm glad you're honest about it all. HOWEVER it is sad you have broadened yourself seemingly to take such a stance that is surely nowhere really but wandering without actually entering over a threshold of what you feel could be Truth.
First, you immediately have cast judgment upon anything that differs from what you think is Truth and class it with a negative conatation, how can you be open to learn if you think you already have it all defined
Taking a stance, how can you be sure I have not taken a stance? Is it because Im not asking you to get in line with my truth that you think I havent taken a stance?
Why the need to take a stance, is the a law written some where which says a person must be Black or White... keep chugging on those red bulls dude
I ask though, is it right to be narrow minded about God or broadminded?
The words of Jesus are to "make every effort to enter through the NARROW gate..........only a few will find it, but BROAD is the gate that leads to destruction....."
LOl ok come on man I could use that scripture in many a concept like
Do you like a narrow shoe or a broad shoe.. as if you like the broad Oh you are going to hell LOL seriously that is just twising a scripture to further you view LOL man that is way to funny.. I thought i had seen a lot of twisting of scripture to support a reason to continue believing one way but that one bites the biscuit
As though you can be sure he even said that and said it in the context to which you use it
MAYBE I misunderstand your stance?
Yes maybe, now that is the beginning of a conversation
You'll say I do misunderstand you..........but I wonder?
