Just like any parable, the greatest value of the Genesis stories are not in their historical aspects as much as it is in the overall meaning of the stories. The fact that some of them may be historically true (or untrue) is utterly beside the point.

The message of 2Peter 3:8 is not what is claimed in this post about science at all. The message of this passage when taken in context to the surrounding text is that God's clock does not run by our timepieces. It's about patience and perseverance. It's all about the eternity of God and shortness of human life and the impatience of human expectations.

Human life is Gods life,

Life is not the body, life is that which is eternal and always have been, spirit

Our life is Gods life, one in the same, yet christianity has divided it up as US and God, God and US which plays nicely into the story of seperation, the need for believe, the need that God has ..... all of which contradict the very concept of ' God '
