Your posts demostrate that you have spent a lot of time reading and questioning "traditional" ideas. I wanted to know where that left you today.

Mate, in terms of what I don't know as opposed to what you know - well, that's the reason for my original question.

Regardless, it's not that big a deal - I was curious at the time, since then a lot has happened and once I've gotten over this flu, I won't be so bored anymore so won't be annoying you with stupid questions! Have a good one chief...m

Let us assume that when there are a million pieces in the jigsaw puzzle and a person takes one piece with out any of the other pieces and forms a picture, then believes what he has envisaged the whole picture this is the intellect working at its highest, and defending the little knowledge that it has assumed inside the earthly brain, it seems that it then picks one thing on which it can build its house on to give strength to its image it has formed from this one piece, and to try to convince itself and others it is right, in what it assumes.
Without any of the knowledge of Creation, just a little of the small planet earth!

Ah, the millionth billionth Brazillionth repackaging of 'We don't understand god enough to judge him'. Still not seeing the overwhelming inconsistency that these same god excusers will cheer any positive event as a gift from god, clearly, no doubt about it. There's never a shimmer of doubt about how well they understand god when they are cheering him for positive things. Are you sure god loves you? YES! Are you sure he loves everyone who is open to him? YES! You're sure he is watching out over each and everyone of us individually with the best in mind? YES! That is born out by how you understand things happening around us? YES! Oh, but wait a minute, over there something terrible is happening? ..........Well..........it's not so clear.........that may be all for a good reason that we don't understand.........that same understanding that is reason to cheer god to no end is now all of a sudden not any good anymore you see. Just cheer god for what you understand as positive. Don't think about the things that your same reasoning would judge to be negative. Just cheer.

Saw the light, and the light was so blinding that you cannot see anymore.

Stop stating these bit of mis-information as facts, they are not facts by any stretch of the imagination. They are opinions and beliefs. A fact is something you can prove with solid evidence and peer reviewed articles over years. You cannot do that so stop saying it as if it is truth or fact.

Perhaps you would like to write my reply’s to threads here if they displease you, or you could just ignore them!

What? In coherent English please.
I reply to your thread simply stating that time and again you say these things as fact and they are not. Opinions and beliefs do not equal fact. Your threads of making opinions sound like facts annoys the hell out of me.
I do try to ignore them, and I try not to reply, but your way of turning opinion in a fact finally gets to the point where I feel I have to reply. That is the whole point of a forum, to discuss and debate. You seem to think it is a place to sound off your beliefs, as truth, and not expect people to reply. When they do and say But, what, your are wrong, you throw a hissy fit and sulk. If you want to evangelise go stand on a soapbox, but an open forum is a place to discus and maybe expand your knowledge or grant insights into other ideas or beliefs, not a place to convert and play the three wise monkeys.
