Hi Jon,

I was just commenting on Servant's statement that all we do is complain when God punishes us for breaking his laws. Obviously these children have done something to really annoy him, to be given such harsh punishment.

Its funny how some look at bad things happening as Gods Punishment vs Consequences of Actions either on our own part of the part of others

That's right Jon. Mostly we see that bad consequences as a result of bad actions are punishment from God, whereas bad consequences from no actions are God allowing bad things to happen because <insert your preferred explanation here>.

Rarely are the "punishments" credited to stuff just happening.
