The points that are raised around this parable are seemingly increasing as many seem to accept the two people as real, and those who do not are brainwashed into thinking they are!
They are not which shows up the defect and incapability of many to accept the truth in what is given us by our Creator

We think it and then we believe it or we read it and because we have read it we then believe that we understand it, the Bible was written with spiritual reference, and man is only mentioned where he need be, but people seem to think the Bible is based on them and the planet earth, it is not.

Try listening with the real you your spirit, and not so much the earthly brain, the tool that was warned against in the parable “Adam and Eve” “do not eat of the tree of knowledge” which feeds the front brain, and swells it out of proportion, and in so doing shuts off the spiritual guidance we need, hence why Jesus the Son of God had to come, to guide us of the wrong path we were on, and headed for perdition!

Wow, are you coming out of the closet as one of those theistic evolutionists who think that life, including mankind, changes with time? If so, then excellent. I had written you off as a hopeless lost cause, but this restores some hope to me that fundies can be saved after all.

It is good to see eye to eye on some points, as Truth is eternal. When Jesus the Son of God came He was the living Truth and Love incarnated on the earth.
Many religions I assume believe that they have the whole truth, but none of them have it all, as Jesus also came to add to the truth in the existing religions of the time.

Occasionally we also will strike a note, where we both accept the and recognise “Truth”, not on all points though.

The Servant never struck me as a literalist christian. Many of his posts are concerned with the spiritual side rather than the material, which appears a lot of radical fundies prefer. I feel there are more liberal christians out there, it is just the radicals and fundies have the biggest mouths and attempt to drown out the rest. Islam also suffers the same problem.
Face it when you have a stuck in the rut theist who quotes from the bible, the bet is that they are most likely a literalist.
