Cry to Heaven was another well written book, but it shocked even me as a non Christian, with some of the horrible pornography in it... And this wasn't even her "pornography!" She wrote books about witches as well.

She must really suffer for her husband though, because he died unsaved. However, her daughter died young, and I pray that she was saved.

Ooo I love Anne Rice. I've read nearly all her books, but my favorites are deffintly 'Interview', 'Queen of the Damned', and I'm stuck between 'Armand' and 'Lestat'. I'm a fan of hers, so I am deffinatly getting that book! After I've finished my Terry Pratchett ones though . . . .=D

Well I loved Interview with a Vampire but I just couldn't get into the Lestat book. It started with the fun premise of a vampire rocker and sank into an enourmous flashback *yawn*.
I might have a look at this Jesus book though, once I've finished Thud.

I'm an Anne Rice fan as well, and have enjoyed most all of her writing. Her testimony is a very good apologetic if your dealing with atheism, i'd recommend it as a good read for anyone who is dealing with intellectual problems of the faith.

I haven't read the new book yet, but plan on getting it next paycheck.

I haven't read it yet, but all of the reviews of the book are very good. I read that even though it's fictional, it helps the reader to relate to Him in a more human way.

i used to really like reading her suff. when i got saved i threw them all away.
the idea of writing a fictional story about Christ as a boy reminds me of the gnostic gospel of thomas. (what an awful peice of garbage that is!)
there's plenty of good reading in the bible just from a perspective of stories, let alone the true value of it. now that i know ann rice claims to know jesus i still won't buy her book. i don't think Jesus would reccomend it, so i don't think i need it.

but Jesus would recommend a movie with Chinese folk generally having mortal combat with each other culminating in a relatively slow poisoning?
