Anybody here read any of Harry Turtledove's alternate history novels?
The one I'm currently reading is "In the Presence of Mine Enemies". It's set in modern Germany where the Nazis ended up winning WW2. The main characters are Jews who have to keep their 'Jewishness' hidden. It is a very interesting book. |

Sounds like a great read. I recognize a stolen story-line, from what Mycernius said, in the TV show Enterprise. There was a bit of time travel and the Captain found himself on Earth during WWII and some of the Nazi officers were aliens! Great stuff! *L* The Nazi Germans never looked so life-like! *L*

That wasn't back in time, that was on a different planet. The episode in from the original series called "Patterns of Force", when the Enterprise goes to the planet Ekos to find a cultural observer called John Gill, who has broken the prime dircetive by introducing Nazi ideas to the people.
Okay, I like Star Trek ![]()

Ah, goodie! A trekkie *L*
Mycernius, I believe we are talking about 2 different TV series. Here in the states, there was the classic "Star Trek" which is probably the one you're referring. Then most recently was "Enterprise" with Captain Jonathan Archer. That's the one I mentioned. |

Ahh, explains it all. I watched ST:TOS more often that ST:ENT and I misread your post. Damn pity the cancelled that show, it showed signs of improvement.

Well the third seaon arc didn't help. Major inconsistancy. They should have concentrated more on the formation of the federation that that Xindi (?)rubbish. The Time cold war wasn't a paricularly good move either. Should leave that stuff to Doctor Who. (I want to know more about the Last Great Time War)
