I know it's not right to be worrying about the future, but is the 6th day of the 6th month this year something we should really be worrying about? Do you think it will really be the end?

There is no end of the world Kyle. Jesus will return to rapture the church and create a new kingdom. No one but God knows when that will happen. There is no prediction in the Bible for the world to end.

I agree with jwhitten that it will not be the end of the world.
But I do believe the end is coming. The end of an age. I believe God created the earth in 6 non-literal days. Each of these 'days' was an 'age'. On the seventh day He rested from all his creative works. We are, I believe, still in that seventh day. But there has been an evening. Now is the nighttime. Soon there will be a mourning a the dawning of the eighth day. This is when God will return to his creative works - the re-creation. I think it is most unlikely to be on the 6/6/6 but I suppose it has a statistical possibility. Personally I think anyone who is not making the effort to build up their relationship with God and to do His will should worry a great deal.

No one knows the day of His return, but we do know the signs of the last days and these are all happening now. So each day we should prepare ourselves as though Christ is coming.

I don't believe the world ended on June 6, 1006 or in the year 1666 or anything like that. It is a campy kind of thing to try to make people afraid of a specific date. Does God have a calendar up in heaven, tearing off the days until the big red circle around June 6th? He'll make up his own mind.

"Occupy til I come..."

God's telling us to get busy and stay with it. He's coming back, but there's stuff to do and it doesn't include worry.

I think the 6/06/06 idea is a little overdone and the media has run away with the idea that it may be the end of the world as we know it. I agree with whitten, Jesus will return, but only God knows when.

I pay very little attention to such media sensationalism. It's the kind of thing the media loves to pick up on but to mean, it means nothing.
