Girl Missing for 10 years has been found

I thought this was really an interesting story yet completely horrific.

Apparently she disappeared when she was 14 her name is Tanya Kach she hadn't been seen since 1996 she was held captive inside a room of a mans parents house, they said they never knew.. totally weird.. how could you not know someone is in your house??

Yeah I saw something on TV about that. The funny thing is you know the parents were in on it. The whole thing is bizzare.

this is an incredible story ..what must this girls state of mind be like and can she ever get over such a long period of captivity. And why did he want to do this to her. The world is full of some very strange and sick people.

This is a very tragic and incredible story, though I have to agree with earlier posts that the parents had to know a degree about this. Even if the girl was locked in, 4 years is a long time to hide someone in a house and never worry about the wierd thumps you heard coming from one room.

Furthermore, unless his parents are mentally deficient or elderly, how can one explain having a locked room for 4 years that the parents never went into. I mean, my family had a fit if I just closed my bedroom door!

There's definately a lot of fishy things there.

What a horrifying story. I too, think that the parents must have had some knowledge of what was going on. That poor girl... what she must have endured. I certainly hope she can regain a normal life again.

That is completely unbelievable. The parents were completely in on it, and if not, they should still be punished for being so oblivious. The poor girl, it's likely to take years (if ever!) for her to recover, and even then she'll have internal scars.
