VenomFangX is indeed a good example of creationist christians representing despicable dishonesty. Very nice then that he got his ass handed to him. He'd been having a tussle with YouTuber Thunderfoot, a cool-headed pro-science poster. VFX couldn't win on arguments of course, so he filed a DMCA takedown notice against some of Thunderfoots videos. And as we're talking creationist christians here, it's hardly worth noting there was not a word of truth in his complaints. Thunderfoot stood his ground and filed a counter complaint for serving unfounded DMCA takedown notices. So Thunderfoot could have had VFX kicked of YouTube, sued him etc. Instead he made him eat a big, 7 course crow dinner: he made the despicable piece of creationist christian liar admit what he really is:

So there we have it, a creationist christian admitting to being a total liar. Because he had a legal gun to his head and Thunderfoot could pull the trigger at any moment if he didn't comply, for sure. Still, I always thought that, along with other fundamental laws of the universe like quantum theory and special relativity, it was well established that creationist christians don't confess to being the wretched liars they are. It really felt as if I witnessed a miracle. Which made me ponder the title of this post.

The whole Thunderfoot and VMX episode has been covered on Richard Dawkins forum (my new place of sense). Frakly the VMX tirade as the Joker wasn't just stupid it was very distrubing and it i good to see the pillock eat humble pie.

YECs just piss me off in general. Either they are liars or just outright gullible, ignorant fools. In the case of VMX it he is just a lair, like Kent Hovind and his ilk. Other, like our own dear nashdude, just seem to be the ignorant following what the liars want them to hear, never actually going out and checking the facts and having a dip in reality.

What is currently worring is the amount of Islamic creationists that have suddenly found the internet and posting stupid videos trying to show that the Qu'ran is a science book!! In some ways they are worse than christian creationitsts as they are trying to pass off their "knowledge" as new, when it was all copied down from jewish and christian scripture in the first place. Sorry muslims, but your religion is just a rip-off of older ones. If the Qu'ran is a science book then how come the middle east had to wait for the UK to start off the industrial revolution and the Italian renissance for scientific learning. How come it didn't start in Mecca 1500 years ago if the Qu'ran was such an insight into science and the modern world? More IDiots.

Yes, YECs come in the two varieties of dishonest and stupidly gullible. But Nashdude (or Matt Wills, saw your exchange with him on OCP) can't claim innocent ignorance for too long. Nashdude will find ways to ignore anything presented to him that shows YECism to be rubbish. Once people have had the knowledge shoved in their face, they can't claim ignorance any longer. From that point onward, it really is nothing but christianity-inspired lying.

Matt was almost a bigger fool than Nash and it gets to a point on OCP I realised that if I were to continue with YECism that I would eventually get banned, hence one reason why I left. It is also noticable that Nash no longer even tries to defend his lies when faced with criticism. He wouldn't on OCP, and even though he is still a member here, he no longer visits or posts.
It is thankful that our regular christian posters are not YECs.

We have recently had one on RD.net (RichardDawkins.net) who calls himself Creationist. As if he isn't looking to stir up trouble. He trots out the same old lies, the same old sites (AiG for example). There is a saying over there, "Beware the Blue Butterfly". It refers to an excellent member whose avatar is a blue butterfly. He got an answer from the butterfly.

I see Gray is still over on OCP (just had a quick look). Jeffs power trip is starting to really show and is becoming more insultive to those who oppose his views.

Yeah, but I'm pretty thick-skinned, and the novelty hasn't worn off yet. Good to see a few new members here - that should get me back to posting regularly.
