Default Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac

I just wanted to get political a moment, more to answer all of the people out there that think that electing a democratic congress and especially a democratic president will be the ones to fix the US banking crisis.

There is a lot of finger pointing right now in the US at the Republican party, blaming them solely for the current state of the economy. I'm not a republican, as I have stated before, I'm a Libertarian. I think greed is to blame, from the bottom to the top in this subprime mortgage debacle.

But in order to show that democrats hands are not clean on this one, I invite you to watch this video of republicans and democrats arguing in 2004 about regulating Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. You might not believe who was FOR more regulation, and who was AGAINST it.

This is important. It doesn't solve the problem, but it helps us identify some of the root causes. The underlining cause is actually social engineering

Blessings

I don't like party labels, but I've voted Libertarian the last 3 elections. I plan on voting for Ron Paul, although he isn't Lebertarian, he espouses many of their beliefs. Bob Barr, who is the Lib. presidential candidate, hasn't been out of the Republican party long enough for meto have any confidence in him yet. This election should be an interesting one, no matter who wins.
