Default A catholic reply

So i started looking for raise to raise money for our ministry (C.O.C) and have contacted several Christian organizations. Here is what some catholic guy emailed me. He says his the pope.lol

Dear Mr. How,

We have visited your website. Please expect a delay in our reply. However, on a preliminary basis, I believe that our attitude would be not to have anything to do with your program, as yours and ours are mutually exclusive. We believe in the Oneness and Unity of the Catholic Church, outside of which all groups that pretend to the name of Christ, are just that, pretenders, and not part of Christ and His Church.

Kind regards,

Lúcio Mascarenhas, Bombay, India
Secretary (Correspondence) to H.H. Michael I, by the Grace of God, Pope.

A little harsh, dont ya think.

Hey there, Barrie -

I have a couple of questions -
  • Where did you send the initial request?
  • Who is H. H. Michael I
  • Who is Lucio Mascarenhas and why is he in India?

I guess I'm just confued by the titles/geographical locations. Are you sure you contacted the Roman Catholic church?

Regardless, I agree with you that it seems harsh. But you have to remember in this mans mind or view, he has the correct answers and we do not. He is being true to his beliefs. And no, I don't agree with his beliefs.

Does that make sense?

Agreed this is in poor taste.

Barrie are you actually soliciting help from Catholics?

Hi Bill,

Yes i am asking help from catholics. I truly believe there are some genuine rc who follow Jesus Christ so i have contavted them for support. Also i will contact anyone who will donate money. Ive even contacted TBN. I dont agree with TBN, but if they can send money in which i can use to the glory of God, then i'll take it for Gods kingdom to advance.

A little harsh is an understatement, wow... what does one say about that?

Have you heard back from TBN? No offense, but some of those folks give me the creeps.

Although there are many "catholic" churches besides the Roman Catholic church, typically most people think of the Roman Catholic Church when the hear someone refer to being Catholic. This always serves as a bit of confusion as it is in this case. The letter you received in regards to the secretary for Pope Michael is not from anyone the is of the RCC. If fact the so called pope Michael is an anti-pope who elected himself to pope by voting for himself along with 5 others, 2 of which were his parents and another who he has just recently excommunicated from his catholic church.

He claims that the present pope and all the way back to Pope Paul VI are not real popes and he is the only real pope. He was Catholic at one time, but by virtue of his actions have excommunicated himself from the RCC.

So, no this was not a real Catholic response or at least not a response from what people typically consider to be catholic.
