No problem. Interesting quotes!

My argument against God was that the universe seemed so cruel and unjust. But how had I got this idea of just and unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line. What was I comparing this universe with when I called it unjust? If the whole show was bad and senseless from A to Z, so to speak, why did I, who was supposed to be part of the show, find myself in such violent reaction against it? A man feels wet when he falls into water, because man is not a water animal: a fish would not feel wet. Of course, I could have given up my idea of justice by saying that it was nothing but a private idea of my own. But if I did that, then my argument against God collapsed too--for the argument depended on saying that the world was really unjust, not simply that it did not happen to please my private fancies. Thus in the very act of trying to prove that God did not exist--in other words, that the whole of reality was senseless--I found I was forced to assume that one part of reality--namely my idea of justice--was full of sense. Consequently atheism turns out to be too simple. If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.--C.S. Lewis

“Yesterday is history”

“Tomorrow is a mystery”

We live in the moment which is why it is called the” Present”

We cannot change the past we can only reflect on it, and in reflecting hopefully make a better future, and not make the same mistakes as we have already!
But most importantly to live in the moment, The Gift, The Present!

and tomorrow is only a vision.
But today well lived,makes every yesterday a dream of happiness;

"Sincere forgiveness isn't colored with expectations that the other person apologize or change. Don't worry whether or not they finally understand you. Love them and release them. Life feeds back truth to people in its own way and time—just like it does for you and me." --Sara Paddison

Wow. Awesome quotes. Keep 'em coming!

"...There is no worse feeling than when you've put something off to the last second, and it's getting dark, and the clock is ticking, and you realize--you're never gonna make it."

"Be careful not to do your good works in public in order to attract attention. If you do, your Father in heaven will not reward you.

So when you give to the poor, don't announce it with trumpet fanfare. This is what hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets in order to be praised by people...

Give your contributions privately...

"When you pray, don't be like hypocrites. They like to stand in synagogues and on street corners to pray so that everyone can see them...

When you pray, go to your room and close the door. Pray privately to your Father who is with you...

Matthew 6: 1-6

Default G.K. Chesterton

"I believe what really happens in history is this: the old man is always wrong; and the young people are always wrong about what is wrong with him. The practical form it takes is this: that, while the old man may stand by some stupid custom, the young man always attacks it with some theory that turns out to be equally stupid." --G.K. Chesterton

"Progress should mean that we are always changing the world to fit the vision, instead we are always changing the vision."--G.K. Chesterton

"Once abolish the God, and the government becomes the God."--G.K. Chesterton

"The Declaration of Independence dogmatically bases all rights on the fact that God created all men equal; and it is right; for if they were not created equal, they were certainly evolved unequal. There is no basis for democracy except in a dogma about the divine origin of man."--G.K. Chesterton

"Most people would rather die than think. In fact, most do."

"So far as I can remember, there is not one word in the Gospels in praise of intelligence."

Bertrand Russell

(and Russell remembered correctly, e.g. do a word search on BibleGateway.com: A searchable online Bible in over 50 versions and 35 languages.)
