Default Other religious writings

I have noticed that JM has mentioned on more than one occasion that this is now more a general faith forum, rather than a christian specific one. My thought is that in the Theology section we currently have a sub-forum for the Bible. How about another, or changing that one, to general religious writings? So we can discuss the Vedas, Koran or even the teachings from Asatru? Personally I am for keeping the Bible one, as it is the book for the largest religion in the world and a majority of members were bought up in this religion, and then a seperate one for all other holy books.

Well RAmen to that. Although as you said, most here are either christian or non-believing but brought up and familiar with christianity. I somewhat doubt if many are knowledgeable enough for good discussion on other religions.

One exception to this would of course be the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Yes atheists here, you all know who you are! May everyone be touched by His Noodly appendages.

greets,
Peter

Perhaps the reason would be that this is a "Christian" forum. If you wanted to discuss the Koran, for example, I think an Islamic forum would be better versed. But that's just my odd little way of thinking.

This isn't a christian forum. JM has mentioned that more than once.

But why is it that when I click the logo "inthepursuit of GOD" up above there..the one that looks like a green coat hanger to me...*L*...that it takes me to a place that has all this Christian stuff on it. Odd, it doesn't take me to the local news or weather...but to a page, where at the bottom, it says Communicating with God.

Do you realize that you are at a site that is about communicating with God? *L* Do you feel a little lost in space when you try and think about that? So if JM has said this isn't a Christian forum, then...hmmmm....someone might want to tell the people operating the coat hanger.

The Coat Hanger I like that...

Classic example of how we perceive things at first glance..

A bit like the pic of the women who is young.. or is she old

Communicating God is not just reserved for those who proclaim themselves as " God "

Actually the title has flipped back and forth between various things based on where there is traffic..

There is a lot of people who type in on a monthly basis " Communicating with God "

I might rename it to.. " All a Matter of Perspective "

Change the Hanger to a Spaceship or a TV

hahahahHAHAHAHA! God does NOT belong to Christians. You may not have noticed this, but other religions have one aswell. And in the case of the Quran ... don;t tell anyone i told you this, but ... it's the same one!

Perhaps you should read the Quran seeing as it's the newest edition to the word of your lord.
