I doubt if my post count would even reach double digits before being banned if I signed up. It's discussion like this thread, about the fundamentalists, that got me banned by Jeff for a month over here (he read a page on the Pastafarian website where itpog was being discussed, very critically).

Thanks for the offer. But Debbie has been trying to get me onto another forum already. And soon after my Summer holiday, my new contract starts, so that will be the end of my few months of unpaid leave. No more loafing around then an indulging in online debating hobby then.

Is ITPOG becoming a site for atheists? I have noticed that traffic has picked up a bit recently and most of it is coming from atheists. Myself, FHA, Commodore angrry, spratlyj and El Peatieablo and the theists seem to have gone quiet. The Servant being the most vocal at the moment. What has happened to Someday, Sazzy and Grace? Even Jon seems to be quiet, but I gather he is busy at the moment.

One of Sazzys PMs a couple of weeks ago mentioned having had a computer crash.

Maybe I pissed off Someday? The last thing I read from him was his post saying 'You say that, but you don't think that'. Maybe my response that that makes any discussion absolutely, totally, completely useless put him off?


You are right, it is a bit one-sided. Set to become more so, with The Servant getting cornered in the debates and rolling out the 'I choose not to have further discussion with you' to any atheist who out-reasons him.

Just came across this thread. Quite interesting reading.

I've noticed the lack of traffic myself over the last few months and it's one of the reasons I've not posted much myself recently. There's not the cut and thrust that there used to be in 'the old days' and I miss that.

Jon, good to read your thoughts. It must be quite an experience for you going through all the changes that you've had. And not entirely pleasant either, finding yourself disagreeing with so many of your old friends (and family). I hope this forum keeps going - it may evolve into something different and maybe some of the regulars will take over for you. Maybe even some of the atheists - 'In the Pursuit Of God' could be taken as an atheist site...

I've just gone over to have a look at OCP and have registered there. I'm not sure how much I'll post as there seems to be no Debate or Discussion sections. I'm not sure how much of a philosophical discussion I'm going to get out of threads such as 'Do pets go to Heaven?' (WTF?). But I've seen Gray posting there reasonably frequently and crossing swords with Jeff (who seems to post there even more than he posted here, if that's physically possible).

Any bets on how long I last before I'm zapped?

Depends on how quickly you piss off Jeff. He is the reason I left when they made him lead moderator. I warned Deacon Dan that his site is being slowly taken over by the evangelicals and every time I look it seems I was right.
