While I completely agree with you that games don't have to affect you, I also agree with Jeff. You know the old axiom, "garbage in, garbage out"?

My old preacher told a story about two dogs. One was a pit bull, symbolizing our spirit man. The other was a rott, symbolizing our carnal man. He likened our battle with the flesh to a fight between these two dogs. Someone in the congregation asked, "How can you tell which dog will win?" He kinda grinned and answered, "Whichever one I feed the most!"

Be careful how much spiritual junk food you take in. God's liable to put you on a diet

I've played the GTA games, but I got bored with them. Good for a bit of stress relief and if you want to have a bit of fun, especially with the cheat codes for the game. I'm more into games like the Total War games or driving games. I do have Sid Miers Sim Golf, which is a great games. Build your own golf course and get to play matches on it

I used to play outside, climb trees and generally did things that would makes the modern health and safety nuts go white and faint.
"Climb tress!!!?? Not without proper safety gear and at least two trained professionals and two supervising adults, plus their supervisor to advise and watch them."

I remember making Go karts from old pram wheels and going down hills without brakes! I would probably be had for speeding nowadays!

This realtionship is purely spurious. Of course if you took a sample of criminals surely some of them would have played video games. The same amount would also like chocolate cake and drive blue cars. I hate when people blame video games for idiots who commit crimes. If you have a solid moral fiber and sense of reality then no game should lead you to violence. I'm not religious (in fact quite the opposite) but stumbled upon this place and took a look and felt I had to post. Video games are just entertainment people, I've played them my whole life, including Grand Theft Auto, and have never had the slightest desire to steal a car or kill someone.
