So pretending to kill things is evil but according to you executing people is fine, odd logic that...

Jeff has always said that D&D, Potter, Stephen King and similar things are evil. Its laughable.

Harry Potter even annoys witches with its complete Godlessness - it is all about spells, and control of the environment in the complete absence of any Spirit or soul. It is totally materialistic. Whether it is demonic or not I don't know... If you want to read some really wonderful fantasy, try CS Lewis' fiction for adults, the Science Fiction. It is possible to write such fiction in a positive way.

I think a lot of Steven King in the past has been awful, but I must admit the Green Mile seemed to me to have a wonderfully Christian thread running through it. Okay, I wasn't Christian when I read it. I will probably read it again to see what I think now. But reading it as an athiest, it made me think about Jesus, and the sacrifices he made for us - so the Spirit can talk in strange places, don't you think?

A christian that likes King, great. Please read Desperation, its an amazing book about a boy that finds God, you can't fail to like it. ( a little violence / blood)

Thanks! I will read it at some point. I must admit, after reading the Green Mile, I wondered if Steven King had become a Christian! Maybe we should start another thread on this author, and his various phases.

Why do you mock me Ryua? It is my view and my values are different to you. I do not need to expose my child to material which I find unchristian. There are better things to do in life than play with games killing each other. On your view that I find real kiiling okay - is again rubbish. War is war and I don't like it, but one has to defend itself against an enemy that wants to destroy you.

This post has nothing to do on the death penalty. If you wnat to make remarks about me then put them on the right post. I cannot help if my moral standards are different to you
