Very true, but if you teach them that violence is wrong do you really have to worry about a video game? I should hope not. I might say the same thing about religion. Impressionable children are many times just as religious as their parents because their parents impart their knowledge and beliefs in them. Teach them well and trust their judgement about violence, you might be surprised to find out they can play all the violent video games they want and show no ill effects.

When is it ok to play video games?

Video games can control your emotions aswell.

Ive seen many people get ANGRY while playing halo =P and other such games

if you spend to much time within these things you can easily get disstracted from what God is doing in your life.

And how do you know God gets jealous? Did he tell you? Also pretty much anything can control your emotions; a conversation, a film, TV, a picture etc

But what I really want to know is why you're targeting games? People devote themselves to thousands of different hobbies and apparently forget about "god" , yet you choose to target games. Why not sports? I've seen my friends get angry whilst watching a football or rugby match numerous times. I've also seen people get angry whilst watching TV. But you target games.

There's this idea that has been implanted in people now by the media that all games are bad. They either turn you into a rambling peanut, a crazed serial killer, a socially stunted delinquent or generally destroy your life. But in reality games are simply extraordinarily entertaining technology. They drive research into computing, entertainment, consumer technology and generally improve the world. The fact is games do much more good than they do bad.

I'll pick up a controller over a bible any day.

EDIT: Also I want to point out that if a gamer becomes violent and kills someone, it's not the games fault, that person is obviously mentally ill, the game simply triggers him. But he could be triggered by any number of other things, from TV to books. I think it's ridiculous how the media tries to blame games for violence and murders. It's not the game that kills, it's the person.
