I have a few favorites:

Scrapbooking, card making, and spending time with loved ones.

My hobbies... That seems to be a moving target but here is my top ten...

1. Playing sports (I played high School and college hoops but a changing body is forcing me to stick with Softball for my Church. I can still run, but I hurt more than I used to)

2. History and the Scriptures (I have a problem with reading too many books at the same time, however.)

3. Learning the guitar (I am terrible, or so it seems by the expressions in my wife’s face)

4. wrestling with my kids (they stage an ambush every time I come home from work which has taught me to always be prepared. I have become like Errol Flynn with a wiffleball bat!)

5. I used to play for a paintball team but that would be categorized in "lost hobbies."

6. I paint for them and play with the kids toy soldiers.

7. I like to shoot at the range with the family.

8. I love to watch movies with my wife.

9. This web site is becoming a hobby.

10. Swimming in a shark cage while feeding Great Whites off the coast of South Africa. (no that’s just a nightmare!)

In Christ

Bill

Wow Bill, swimming with sharks. It's good that you know Jesus! I have seen many 2-legged sharks!

Reading; Hiking; Bird Watching -- 3 hobbies that I can think of right now.

There is a bit of line, I think, between hobbies and pasttimes.

For instance, an absolute favourite pasttime is walking with my daughter, no destination in sight, no time limit in mind. These walks are always spontaneous, close to home and generally not too long (say half-hour to one hour long). Now hiking is a hobby. A good hike can last anywhere from two - even five (or beyond) hours and takes place in a provincial park or a well-marked hiking trail and usually there's some gear involved (water bottle, small notebook, binoculars ...)

Pasttimes fill in a quick moment of free space? Hobbies are planned time?

my big hobby right now is flight simulator. it's the closest i'll ever come to doing it for real. i like to fly aerobatics, and i can do all the standard manuevers you see like the cuban 8, hammerhead stall etc.

i post on a dozen other forums, including this one, and my own forum, so i suppose another hobbie of mine is forums, but for me they are mostly a way to share information. i like riding my bicycle. i bought my wife a new one yesterday and PTL!!!!!! \o/ we got a pretty sweet deal! i also have a motorcycle but it's stuck in the states right now so i can't ride it, obviously, me being in canada and all. i am hoping to sell the motorcycle and build a computer. i also like fishing and generally being outside.
summetime rocks!!!
