Default Painting plastic pots

I have an outdoor plastic planter and table that need help. I'd like to paint them. I was going to buy that spray paint that makes things look like stone, for the planter, but it is only for interiors. So has anyone painted plastic with regular spray paint and does it last if you sand your plastic first? Has anyone used that paint made for plastic patio funiture? Where you happy with the results?

I think I've seen spray paint specifically for plastic surfaces like the furniture you've described. I can't really tell you anything more than that because I've never bought or used it, though. You could probably find it at places like Lowe's or Home Depot. I think regular spray paint wouldn't stay on plastic very well because it wouldn't have much of anything to stick to.

My husband used the stuff in the link on some PVC pipe he used to make outriggers for his canoe. They have been outside for 2+ months and in the lake at least 4 times and still look fine. BUT he is not sitting on them or putting anything on top of them and moving it around say like a drink or a potted plant and the like. Just exposed to sun wind rain and lake water.

I noticed the container had a crack, so I'm not gonna bother fixing it up. Still want to do the table though. A few years ago my husband tried cleaning it with the pressure washer. Oh, it looked clean all right, plus it has a lovely sandpaper texture to it.
