Yes, I've had this and it is yummy. Cut it in half, drizzle some olive oil on it with a bit of salt and pepper just before you bake. Spread on lightly toasted sour dough bread or crusty french baguette. And a nice glass of red wine, Yowza!!

This sounds like a good addition to any Italian meal. Italian happens to be one of my favorite cuisines to cook.

I love Italian food, Indian food, Chinese, Thai, African and Caribbean food. British food, French food...

Hang on! I like food! No wonder I weigh 12 stone.

Count me in ladies because I love eating and cooking Italian food.

Got any good recipes you'd like to share?

Here's a quick one: (vegan too- Mary)

Eggplant Parmiagiana

Large Eggplant sliced in oblong circles
Italian bread crumbs (salted)
beaten egg or egg substitute
olive oil
Marinara sauce
shredded mozzarella cheese

Take sliced eggplant and dip in egg then coat in bread crumbs and pan fry on each side in olive oil until golden brown, repeat. Set each slice in a glass baking dish and cover each with a dollop of marinara sauce and top with mozzarella cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serve with crusty bread with garlic spread and a green salad and a glass of red wine, Chianti or Rose.
