blogging

i would like to start a blog. i have never done it before. from what i understand, a blog is sort of like a public diary. this is not really what i plan on doing however. what i have in mind, is posting, every few days or so, an article relating to the bible, or some christian principle to explore. i have posted a couple of these here already. they are the arthur nuggetts i get in the mail from my freind back home. his wife has recently discovered how to use email and is willing to, over time, send me all 300+ articles. i have already read about 1/2 of them over the past couple of years, and they are awesome! my questions are these:
where is a good site to have a blog?
how to i attract people to read it?
are there other things i should have there that i don't realize yet?
any advice you folks could pass along to me would be greatly appreciated, and would also help spread God's message.

Sorry, Cheezy. I viewed it; but I don't know how to do it either and wouldn't know where to begin.

I have a blog, Cheezy, and I find that it can be very rewarding and a good way to hone your writing skills. If you have any misgivings about starting up your own, I would suggest that you just go ahead and do it because over time it evolves into something that you are really proud of and enjoy writing in. When I first started reading blogs, I worried that there might not be anyone to read it and I would suck at it, so I put it off for ages. I regret that now, because it's really quite simple and a bit of a laugh.

You might also find that your entire self-worth becomes dependent on your stat counter and the number of comments you accumulate. Like me, you might become overly consumed by the medium and find yourself neglecting basic things like showering and food. But it's ever so much fun!

It sounds like you've already got a passion, you have an idea of what you like to write about, so I think you should just steam right ahead with it. You might find that it becomes something completely different to what you intended. In any case, my advice is to get an account with a blog service (mine is with blogspot, but there are wordpress and typepad, and numerous others) find a pretty template and just see what you happen to come up with.

i used to post the articles here, but too many people wanted to debate them. it seems they didn't understand their purpose is to make you reflect on God. if you would like to read the articles, they are posted there, i try to add as often as i can, i have new stuff coming sometime in the next day or two
