Rambo 4 – John Rambo – Christian Theme?
Yep we honestly thought he would never make another one of these. Well he has and its set for release this year 2007. Bizarre really as he is hitting like 60 years old and while he is still in shape it doesnt really help this look any more realistic.. Interesting that there is a few photos shooting around the net with him and a body double.. and they didnt get a 60 yr old to be his double for shots
wonder why? lol
Interesting part about this movie is that is the christian aspect. We know that in his last movie he did which was the last of the Rocky Movies he took on a christian theme to it. In fact there was much talk going around that he was Born again. He even went as far as to do a long audio discussing the christian aspect of the movie.
He was quoted saying " Rocky Balboa finds redemption. Can Rambo be next? "No matter what, you can overcome your past," he said. "With help, if you look to God, you can overcome your past and be reborn."
So now in this movie the fact the he wrote, produced, directed and starred in it and took the story of christian aid workers trying to help is again causing many people to talk about whether or not Sylvester Stallone is a born again christian?
Anyway…
Story is : In Thailand, a group of Christian aid workers recruit John Rambo to guide them up the Salween River to deliver medical supplies to the Karen tribe of neighboring Burma (aka Myanmar). When the missionariesfail to return, Rambo is persuaded to take a group of mercenaries back into the war-torn border region to find them. What follows is a descent
into hell on earth. Sylvester Stallone writes, directs, produces and stars as JOHN RAMBO, filmed on location in and around Chiang Mai, Thailand. – The movie will not be called Rambo IV but " John Rambo "
