Vanliere Returns with christmas hope Series

The New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Donna VanLiere returns with yet another heartfelt novel that is sure to be a hit this holiday season. The Christmas Hope - which released November 1, 2005 through Integrity Publishers - is the third book in the widely popular Christmas Hope series which includes The Christmas Shoes and The Christmas Blessing. The newest installment, The Christmas Hope, is a story that centers on a topic very near and dear to VanLiere’s heart – adoption.

“I’m thrilled to offer The Christmas Hope to readers. It’s my deepest wish that the book will shed light on the joys and blessings of adoption and will cause more people to reach out and help a child,”

says VanLiere. “The adoption of both our children was the inspiration behind The Christmas Hope. Although this is not our story as we adopted internationally, I wanted to shed light on the adoption process and the incredible people who work on behalf of children and families.”

The book tells the story of Patricia and Mark Addison, a married couple that has drifted apart after suffering a great loss. With little or no hope of enjoying the holiday season, their lives take a dramatic turn when Patricia, a social worker, bends the rules and takes home a very special 5-year-old, Emily, who has just lost her mother. Through her questions about love, death and heaven, Emily brings a warmth to the Addison house that had been absent for years, and Christmastime again becomes full of love and joy.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with Donna and bring the wonderful message of her latest book, The Christmas Hope, to Christian booksellers,” comments Rob Birkhead, senior vice president of marketing for Integrity Publishers. “This best-selling series has touched people all over the country and continues to grow into a holiday classic.”

The Christmas Hope is already gaining smashing reviews from publications nationwide. Publisher’s Weekly raves that “VanLiere serves up another heart-tugging holiday tale.” Library Journal comments that “this emotional holiday treat will warm the souls and hearts of VanLiere’s fans.” American Profile has selected the book for their “Our Picks” column. Other publications are also touting with high praise including Southern Living, Bookpage and RT Bookclub, just to name a few.
