Overjoyed at discovering that NBC online decided to offer a way for people to watch tv shows streaming over the internet and also with the option of downloading them called NBC Direct Service to your computer a while back. I headed over to NBC to watch an episode of Heroes that I had missed. Well I was disappointed to find out that they only made it available to people within the United States, like come on… the world doesn’t end at the USA border. ( no offense to my USA visitors as you guys are cool but its annoying to see so much available only to residents of America, when I live in North America just over the border – Canada )

Anyway.. recently I went back to NBC to see if they had changed their policy on viewing but found out they hadn’t .. So i did a little bit of searching around and came across a fabulous bit of software which is completely free called VEOH TV which lets you download a free bit of software to your computer ( works with xp, vista and mac ) After install, you load it up and you are presented with a variety of options that I will go into in a moment.

What I really liked about it was if your living in Canada or anywhere in the world and you want to watch NBC online just as you would if you went to their website, you can do it. Somehow VEOH lifts the restrctions or gets around them with their software which is free which is totally cool!.

You can do searches, you can just click on channels at the top and they will come back with a whole list and NBC is just ONE of them they have so many more available for you to watch. So if you missed a show of The Office.. well you click on channels, use the up and down arrows to find NBC folder, click on NBC it lists all the TV shows available through them and then you click the show it then provides a list of all the episodes available, you click an episode and away you go watch it full screen. You do get a few short 20 second commercials but hey its free so nothing to complain there about.
