OS News writes, "The autofocus camera takes "ok" pictures too, but it comes without a flash light. HTC forces the camera app to be in "night mode" automatically when it detects low light (there is no option to turn that on/off). The software for the camera allows for a number of preferences, which will please users who want more control. The phone also records 3GP and MP4 QVGA and QCIF videos that can later playback via Windows Media Player 10 Mobile. Unfortunately, the resulted mp4 videos are not compatible with Quicktime (other phones’ mp4 files are), but they are compatible with VLC."
IT Reviews says, "The camera on the back of the casing shoots stills at up to 3-megapixels, though it lacks a flash or self portrait mirror…The TyTN II is a quad-band handset with 3G and HSDPA and there is a front-facing camera for video calling…And there is a business card scanner that uses the main camera, which could come in handy."
IT Week said, "The device features a three megapixel camera for capturing high-resolution images and video, plus a lower resolution (VGA) user-facing camera for videoconferencing…The TyTN’s three megapixel camera enables users to snap pictures up to 1536 x 2048 in size but is somewhat slow at capturing images, taking several seconds once the shutter button is pressed. It can also capture video using the same application."
