Stew Smith Drummer Leaving Delirious Band

Who would have thought the day would come when one of the Delirious Band Members would leave? But for some sadly that day has arrived.

Delirious - Christian band has just got done finishing their last album together with stew smith called ” Kingdom of Comfort ” and it seems an ironic name.. as it deals with getting out of our comfort zones….. , yet this isnt the end of Delirious themselves.

Stew smith or otherwise known to the band as nickname ” Smeezer ” has decided to put down the drum sticks well at least for now with Delirious and move on to develop a creative agency.

Most know that Stew did most of the design for delirious, he is extremely talented in that area along with his slick Drum playing which will sorely be missed.

On delirious website each of the band members talk about the reasons why and how this has and will effect them with the continuation of delirious.

Be sure to go check it out.. log on to delirious.co.uk and go under News and scroll down.. you will read it all there..

I think in many ways.. nothing lasts forever, change is something though you can count on… and sometimes people have to move on, not because of anyone in particular but because we are all meant to grow… and with growth change comes.. and this at times may require being replanted, it can be painful but at times its necessary

Each member reflected on it all..

It was interesting to hear how Martin tried to talk stew out of it several times…but both decided it was time.

He spoke about how Stew had watched his back for years, and how life will not be the same without stew on the road.. he said he was proud to have done life with Stew and proud to know him.

Well I wish Stew all the best and the Band of Delirious too… this is definately not the last we will see of Delirious.. ..

If you want to see them play one last time with Stew that is… .. the 29th of March at Indig02 in London is where you will need to be.. pick up tickets here

Im sure it will be an emotional time for them all. ( I Hope someone records it and throws it up on Youtube so we can all see )

G              D/F#
You led me to the cross
Em            C          G
And I saw the face of mercy in that place of love
D/F#
You opened up my eyes
Em
To believe Your sweet salvation
C
Where I’d been so blind
Am         C              G           D/F#   Am
Now that I’m living in Your all forgiving love
C        D          G
My every road leads to the cross

D/F#              Em    C
Jesus, keep me near the cross
G
I won’t forget the love You’ve shown
D/F#             Em     C
Savior, teach me of the cross
Am7
I won’t forget the love
C       D            G
I won’t forget the love You’ve shown

And there’s an empty tomb
That tells me of Your resurrection and my life in You
The stone lies rolled away
Nothing but those folded grave clothes
Where Your body lay
Now that I’m living as a risen child of God
My every road leads to the cross
