This is great song that is perfect for doing in church congregations, People pick it up easily and for guitar players the chords are very easy to play. There are a number of people who have tabbed this out online and some have got it. I just thought I would add in my 2 cents that might help out you lead guitarists and rythm players. There is a number of different ways you could go at doing this in your church

From what I am told by people who have watched Chris Live,, said that he Capos it and plays the acoustic..

I  would recommend if you have an acoustic guy to put the capo on his 2nd fret for the chords but it is an option vs the uncapoed.. whatever works for him. I have shown it below with capo on 2.. it works very well..

when to play it..

You might want to dump the acoustic for this song and have the acoustic guy playing electric and doing power chords on the above chords.. instead of capoing.. But then again if you have a good keyboard playing you can have them filling out the song… the electric might just make it sound too harsh if your capoing.. and the one singing it.. So Try both.. play together with your church band.. acoustic , electric guy, keyboard, bass, drums.  then try it   electric, electric, keyboard, bass and drums.. You might find it easier acoustically…

I would find out what the acoustic guy is comfortable playing and try out both ways with a full band setting.

Electric Guitar Guy

Ok this song has a real U2 feel to it when it opens up the electric has some delay on it
now if you want to do the bit right at the begining you need to rely heavily on the delay to see the fingerings it would like

your finger on the 16th fret first finger i mean.. then little finger on 19 and 2nd finger on 17

I know complicated to explain.. Soon I will have video on this site.. with me showing you. ( that should be neat)

Anyway you start with your 2nd finger on the 17t and strum the 17th and 19th lifting your 17th off everynow and then so its 16 and 19…. if all that makes sense LOL.. that is the Shape that is being used.. you can hear it very clear..

Now that shapes moves down to 11 11 12 and possibly 9 9 10 either way try it out. play around you will hear it.
